Senior Matrimonial AssociateSusan Friedland is a seasoned matrimonial attorney with more than 30 years of experience in New York family and matrimonial law. From the start of her career, she was drawn to equitable distribution and the deeply personal nature of family disputes, and has since dedicated her practice to guiding clients through complex and often difficult life transitions with skill, clarity and compassion.

Prior to that, she maintained a successful private practice with offices in Manhattan and Williamsburg, Brooklyn, handling matrimonial and family law matters as well as general civil litigation.
She has represented clients from diverse personal and financial backgrounds in matters ranging from straight forward divorces to complex high-asset disputes. Her practice includes divorce, legal separation, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and post -judgment enforcement and modification proceedings. She is known for developing practical, tailored strategies aimed at achieving efficient and durable resolutions.
Susan is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and clerked for the Hon. Michael L Pesce of the New York State Supreme Court during law school.
